A PENNY SPENT (2) worked home well to grab third at long odds at her latest appearance at Sale over 6f. Settles back early but winds up late. Will prove hard to hold out. NEW YORK DIVA (1) had been in top form landing two consecutive wins but last start missed the frame when tenth over 6f at Sandown-Lakeside. Will find this much easier. Has claims on her best form. WILD AND FREE (7) turned in a modest performance when seventh last time out over 7f at Ballarat Synthetic, beaten 10 lengths, after a win at Pakenham Synthetic at the previous outing. Well placed and can make amends.
