INEXORABLE (4) wasn't far off maiden success before a break of five months, finishing the campaign with a minor placing over 1m at Caulfield Heath. Commenced last prep with a minor placing at Kyneton over 6f. Placed in a recent trial. Set to return in style. DUCKIE (11) missed the frame on debut then progressed nicely at her second outing, finishing half a length from the winner in second after working home well at the end of 6½f at Wangaratta. Likely improver with strong prospects. EL QUINTO (12) is a three-start maiden who could only manage to finish fourth after being in the firing line on the bend at her latest appearance over 6½f at Wangaratta. Solid top-three chance on her best figures. FALL OF ROME (2) showed good speed and fought on for second over 6f at Wodonga last time. Do not underestimate.
