SAVAGE DANCER (9) knuckled down strongly to get within a neck of the winner in second last start over 5f at Belmont Park when resuming after a break. Will be tough to stop again. AWESOME BOY (1) is a promising type who hasn't raced since finishing 4 lengths away in eighth over 7f in the LR Raconteur Stakes at Bunbury on June 14. Has scored when resuming from a lay-off before. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Sure to be in the finish. HARD SOLO (10) drew wide and was pretty plain last time out when 2. 5 lengths from the winner in 11th at this course and distance. Drops back in grade. Sure to be competitive. ALASKALOT (3) comes here off a break of two-and-a-half years. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last time in work over 6f at Pinjarra Scarpside. Now under the care of new trainer Brandon Fiore. Looks a strong top-three prospect.
