RUSSLEY CROWN (1) did very well to fill a minor placing when resuming at Tamworth but raced below expectations last time over 6¾f at Newcastle, finishing tenth and beaten 5.5 lengths. The engagement of Mitch Stapleford is noteworthy. Finds the right race this time and can bounce back. RHYTHM IS A DANCER (2) is a distance specialist who has been in good form, scoring three back at Tamworth then placing twice in a row, most recently finishing second over 1m at Coonabarabran. Tackling a more suitable race so he is ready to find the winners' list. ARCTIC LEGEND (6) kept coming but just failed to pick up the winner when when resuming as favourite last start over 6f at Tamworth. Should tighten right up following that outing. Taking on a better line-up this time but he cannot be underestimated. LEICA MODEL (5) settled well back then came home powerfully to score by a neck over 1m at Tamworth last time out. Will be doing her best work late.
