GIN BABA (9) finished second as favourite last time out over 6½f at Warrnambool, making it four minor placings from five starts this time in work. Not far off a win and gets her chance to break through. GREGARIOUS GIRL (10) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 1.2 lengths away in fourth last time out over 6½f at Swan Hill. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. PROUD CHIEF (7) made an encouraging debut last time out, finishing 2.5 lengths from the winner in fifth over 6f at Edenhope. One of the main contenders. DAMAS (5) showed good early dash when resuming last start and held on well to finish 2.2.5 lengths back in second over 5½f at this track. In the right race and is one of the big hopes.
