GRAMMY GIRL (6) opened this prep with a win two runs ago. Fair effort last time out when prominent at the turn before winding up in second over 6½f at this track, beaten half a length. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time. PATTY VAN TWINKLE (8) finished second two runs back at this track (Dirt) then improved last time out to score by 7 lengths over 1m at this track (Dirt). Meeting a tougher field but on current form she is one of the chief contenders. THE BIG CALHOUNA (2) resumes from a lay-off of 11 weeks and is having her first outing under new trainer Richard E Dutrow. Finished tenth at Oaklawn Park (Dirt) over 6f at the opening run last time in work. Has ability and makes plenty of appeal. THIRTEEN RED FLAGS (1) has been racing well without winning. Last start finished third, beaten 6 lengths, over 6½f at this track (Dirt). Genuine performer so a forward showing is expected.
