GIROOVIN (6) drifted well back and failed to finish it off last start when fifth, beaten 5.5 lengths, over 6½f at this track (Dirt). Manuel Franco gets the best out of this four-year-old gelding. Faces an easier assignment so he can find the winners' list. FIRST GLIMPSE (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at this track, beaten 5 lengths into fourth. This is a nice drop in grade so he is a major player. GRANDPA'S KID (3) has been in the market at his last couple of runs but failed to threaten, the latest effort a modest ninth at this track (Dirt) over 1m. Worth another chance. BARESE (7) is experiencing a long win drought, extended last start when eighth over 1m at this track (Dirt). Has the class to take this out.
