THE BIG TORPEDO (1) turned in a sound effort last time but found one better at Listed level at this track (Turf) over 1m, beaten half a length. Has been in sound form this prep with a win and four minor placings from six outings. Should prove tough to beat. FIDELIGHTCAYUT (6) finished just a nose from the winner in third last start over 1m in stakes class at Monmouth Park (Turf) after racing handy. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is right in contention. COURTLY BANKER (8) was in contention on the turn and finished third last time over 1m at this track (Turf), beaten 1.3 lengths. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is right in contention. GRAND OPENING (9) showed good speed and fought on for second over 7f in stakes class at Saratoga (Dirt) last time. Is yet to miss the frame from three starts this campaign, including a win. One of the fringe hopes.
