QUANAPIRRI BAY (3) turned in a sound effort last time but found a couple better at this track over 5½f, beaten 1.5 lengths. That run should have him rock-hard fit now. Yet to find winning form this prep but has been thereabouts with two placings from three starts. Bold showing expected. HELLIVIT (1) was far from disgraced when second last start over 5f at this track, beaten a nose. That followed a win at this track the start prior. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. CHIEF WHITE SOCK (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 5½f at Bathurst, beaten 6 lengths into fifth after being in the firing line on the corner. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. HELLO CAROL (6) ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 5½f at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. No surprise to see her in contention.
