MASTER MONTARO (5) showed good early dash and led for most of the way before fading to finish 2.75 lengths away in sixth over 6f at Flemington. Sure to take running down. CANNY HELL (9) finished fourth two runs back at Wagga then improved last time out to score by 0.8 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner over 7f at Wagga. Has the class to produce another positive result. MARBLE NINE (1) finished ninth when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 5½f at Flemington, beaten only 1.5 lengths after being in contention on the bend. Finds a suitable race and can build on that solid recent effort. BURRANDANA (18) finished second last start over 7f at Wagga, beaten 0.8 lengths. Will benefit from that outing. Nicely placed to play a role in the finish.
