TAUMATA (4) was safely held when fourth last time out over 1m1f at Wagga Riverside, beaten 4 lengths. That followed a win at Wagga at the previous outing. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is good enough to play a major role. LEICA TROOPER (2) hasn't been far away recently including last time out when third over 7f at Echuca. Has been thereabouts without winning and will go well if he runs up to his best. MY FRIDAY BEAU (11) is racing well without winning. Last start finished seventh, beaten 4 lengths, over 1m1 3/4f at Yarra Valley. Should measure up. CHECK SIDE (1) did very well to fill a minor placing when resuming at this track but raced below expectations last time over 1m at Wagga, finishing sixth and beaten 3.5 lengths. Finds a nice race and can make amends.
