PEMBROKE (1) ended last season producing an excellent fifth-placed finish in the G1 Poundland Top Novices Hurdle at this venue. The Skelton-trained six-year-old made a promising start to his chasing career with a runner-up effort at Uttoxeter and can put that experience to good use. MASTER CHEWY (4) proved a touch disappointing when hurdling toward the end of last year. Could prove a different proposition now chasing for a yard in great form. CHAPEL GREEN (6) jumped well to win a Hexham novice chase and cannot be ignored off a 7lbs higher mark. Runner-up that day GENERAL OFFICER (3) might be in the mix.
