Yarmouth free racing tip: Strong-finishing favourite set to land the odds in sprint handicap

Lil Guff is a strongly-built filly who has displayed tons of ability to go with her good engine, and she arrives here in good form, not to mention her course-distance success on her last visit to Yarmouth two years ago.

Her most recent win came four outings ago at Sandown in late July, and she was also in good nick at the same venue last time out 17 days ago, when she enhanced her good record there, finishing a half-length runner-up of 10.

Trainer team Daniel and Claire Kubler boast a tidy profit when having just one runner at a Flat meeting and Lil Guff can add to that success in a race of this nature under returning jockey Oisin Murphy.

The five-year-old mare can be lethal in the closing stages as she knows how to stick her neck out all the way to the line, so she is expected to come in with her usual strong run from the final furlong pole.

Any challengers on the run-in will have their work cut out against Lil Guff, as she enjoys a good battle and has all the credentials to win this gamely if all goes well in running, as it should do under the champion jockey elect..
