Floyd Mayweather vs Don Moore: Everything you need to know, including fight stream

Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather Jr will be fighting in his third exhibition fight since his last professional bout against UFC's Connor McGregor back in 2017.

The 45-year-old ended his professional career with a pristine record of 50-0 (27 KOs), winning world titles in five weight divisions from super featherweight to super welterweight.
As well as all the accolades, the man known as 'Pretty Boy' due to his style that made him almost untouchable in the ring, gave the fans many nights to remember such as his wins over Ricky Hatton, Oscar De La Hoya, and Manny Pacquiao.
Yet since turning away from the professional game, Mayweather Jr has not waved goodbye from the sport completely, competing in two exhibition bouts in the meantime.
His first saw him pick up a first round TKO win over Japanese kickboxer and mixed martial arts fighter Tenshin Nasukawa on New Year's Eve 2018 in Saitama, Japan.

Mayweather's next fight saw him take on famous YouTuber Logan Paul in an eight-round non-scored bout in June 2021.

Despite fighting Logan, it was his younger brother - Jake Paul - who stole the headlines with the infamous 'gotcha hat' incident that saw Paul steal Mayweather's hat, leading to a huge brawl between the two teams at the press conference.

The 1996 Atalanta bronze Olympic-medallist will now face fellow ex-professional boxer Don Moore in another exhibition fight.
Below, we take a look at all the information ahead of fight night.

When and where is the fight?

Saturday, May 14 in the Burj Al Arab (a hotel in Dubai).

What channel is Mayweather vs Moore on?

The card is live and exclusive to online streaming service LiveNow for £14.99. For more information, click here.

Who is the opponent?

Don Moore is an ex-professional boxer with a record of 18-0-1. What seems to be a solid record on the surface is an extremely padded when you look deeper into it.
Known as 'Dangerous', Moore has never faced anyone with a winning record, with his last career fight being in 2016 against DeShaun Williams (5-16-1)
However, Moore has been toe-to-toe with Mayweather previously, as the two had sparred together in 2015.

What have they said?

Mayweather: "I am always trying to push the envelope and if something is brought to my attention that has a unique aspect to it.

"Having a fight on the helipad of the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai and the opportunity to be the star of the show is going to be something I will remember always. People all over the world can buy the PPV and watch us fight high above, almost in the sky."
"Don will come to fight. It's a little different. Don is going to come and fight and may the best man win. Whereas at the Hard Rock Stadium, Logan Paul talked a good game but didn't come to fight, he came to hold.
"So, he's comings to fight, I'm coming to fight. Eight rounds, from start to finish, it's going to be explosive"

Moore: "I am excited to participate in this event. Because of how much of the same training I received from Roger Mayweather, I am gonna be able to give Floyd real problems.

"I have been training hard to show everyone what 'Dangerous' Don Moore is all about and expose Floyd's weaknesses. This is my shot, The time is now, Floyd isn't invincible. Anyone can be beaten."

Who is on the undercard?

Anderson Silva will be featuring on the card as he continues his boxing journey after a relatively simple first-round knockout win against fellow mixed martial artist Tito Ortiz last time out. This time around, 'The Spider' will face another MMA veteran in Bruno Machado.
As well as this, former two-weight world champion Badou Jack (25-3) continues his ventures as a cruiserweight as he meets the Egyptian Hany Atiyo (16-5) who is most known for a first-round knockout loss to Roy Jones Jr in 2014. All five of Atiyo's losses have come inside the distance.
Finally, Delfine Persoon - who's best known for her two stellar fights with Katie Taylor in 2019 and 2020 - returns to the ring against the undefeated Elhem Mekhaled.
Fighting out of France, Mekhaled is the current EBU super featherweight champion which she won last time out against Pasa Malagic. It could be the best fight on the card.
