Logan Paul during media duty ahead of his exhibition fight against Floyd Mayweather

Logan Paul generated one of the biggest pay-per-views in recent years with his exhibition showdown against Floyd Mayweather. He's now back in the professional ring.

Logan Paul is an American YouTuber, internet personality and a 'professional boxer'.
Paul has over 23 million subscribers on YouTube and nearly six billion views online for his sketches.
In 2018, following his white collar match against Joe Weller, Paul fought fellow social media star KSI in an amateur fight in Manchester.
The pair laced up the gloves again in a rematch the following year which ended in defeat for Paul.
Continuing a current trend of exhibition fights, Paul shocked the world by announcing a showdown with boxing's most lucrative fighter of all-time - Floyd Mayweather.
The bout ended in a draw after lasting eight rounds with no judges scoring it.
Paul returned to the ring in October 2023 and was awarded a disqualification win over mixed martial arts fighter Dillon Danis.

The YouTube fight

Logan Paul fought KSI on two occasions, the first being as an amateur at the Manchester Arena in England. The first battle in 2018 - which included Michael Buffer as MC - ended as a majority-draw.
The YouTube pay-per-view event was priced at $10 although it was revealed an estimated $12million was lost in revenue due to illegal streaming, including the use of Twitch.

The rematch

Logan Paul and KSI put it all on the line for a second time, the only difference being this time it was at professional level.

Eddie Hearn, who later criticised Logan Paul's fight against Floyd Mayweather, agreed to promote the rematch at the Staples Center in LA.
DAZN had the rights in America while Sky Sports Box Office had the event in the UK and Ireland.
The fight would end in a split-decision win for KSI. The 'fight' was alongside Anthony Joshua's rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr. and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez's victory over Sergey Kovalev for biggest numbers on DAZN in 2019.

Mayweather vs Paul: Bragging Rights

After initial negotiations between the duo in 2020, Floyd Mayweather agreed to take on Logan Paul on June 6, 2021 in an exhibition fight.
Mayweather, a former five-division world champion, entered the bout at 155lbs compared to 189.5lbs for Paul. The weight limit was 160lbs and 190lbs for Mayweather and Paul, respectively.
Ahead of the fight, media day promoted a chance to promote the fight, something Jake Paul, Logan's younger brother, took advantage of by snatching Mayweather's hat from his head.
It resulted in a brawl breaking out and left Jake with a black eye.
Mayweather-Paul was exclusive to Showtime pay-per-view in America and Sky Sports Box Office in the UK and Ireland.
The only way there could be a winner was if somebody lost by KO/TKO/DQ and none of those happened with Paul grappling his way through eight rounds.
"Just going the distance was a win for him," Mayweather said at the post-fight press conference.
"I had fun. You've got to realise I'm not 21 anymore," he told Showtime Sport.
"But it's good to move around with these young guys. Test my skills. Just to have some fun.
"He's a tough, rough competitor. It was good action. I was surprised by him tonight. A good guy.
"Even though he doesn't have much experience, he knew how to use his weight and he knew how to tie me up tonight."
"I don't want anyone to tell me anything is impossible ever again," Logan Paul told Showtime Sport.
"The fact that I'm in here, with one of the greatest boxers of all time proves that the odds can be beaten.
"I'm 'The Maverick', I go right when they go left. I'm the unorthodox one, I'm the independent one and everyone has it in them.
"Floyd Mayweather, it was an honour. This is one of the greatest moments of my life. You never know with this guy. I'm going to go home thinking, 'Did Floyd let me survive?'
"This is the coolest thing ever. I'm happy I made it out. He's tough to hit, he's always tough to hit and he's not even that old.
"Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul 2? I don't know, let me get a little better. Maybe I can end it next time."

Return to the professional ring

On the undercard of the Tommy Fury vs KSI fight, Logan Paul was awarded a disqualification win over mixed martial arts fighter Dillon Danis.

Danis lost all of the first five rounds before shooting for a take down in the last three minutes.

Danis, who made his name as Conor McGregor’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu sparring partner, was docked a point then attempted a guillotine choke in the final few seconds before tumbling to the floor.

Paul threw a punch on a grounded Danis, who ran straight at his adversary in retaliation prompting security to storm the ring.

Because of Danis’ two infractions, he was disqualified.
