Olympics Men's Singles: Stanislas Wawrinka vs Alexei Popyrin
Stan Wawrinka continues what will undoubtedly be his Olympic swansong when he takes on bustling Aussie Alexei Popyrin.
The players met at Umag last season in their only clash to date with Popyrin winning that clay court battle in three sets.
Neither player has lit it up on clay this season with both in the red when it comes to their win-loss record.
However, Popyrin was in good nick in his opening round win and so was Wawrinka making this one tough to call.
Olympics Men's Singles: Jakub Mensik vs Tommy Paul
As their careers go on Jakub Mensik will probably show himself to be a superior clay courter to Tommy Paul but in the Olympic setting, he will struggle to get past the American.
Mensik is currently up to number 65 in the rankings which is a new career-high for the teenager.
This will be the first-ever meeting between these two players in singles action.
Both players came through the opening round with relative ease, winning by the same scoreline.
Olympics Men's Singles: Jan-Lennard Struff vs Corentin Moutet
Jan-Lennard Struff and Corentin Moutet have evenly split their previous clashes but the German got the win when they met on clay.
Moutet should have the crowd behind him for this one but the French boo boys probably won't throw Struff off at all.
Moutet took nearly two and a half hours to battle beyond Sumit Nagal in the opening round.
Meanwhile, Struff put away his opponent in just over an hour with a 6-2 6-2 triumph.
Olympics Men's Singles: Sebastian Ofner vs Daniil Medvedev
Daniil Medvedev is competing as a neutral at the games and faces Austrian Sebastian Ofner in the second round.
Medvedev should have the edge over Ofner, who has struggled to string wins together this season.
The Russian was also the victor in the only previous meeting between these players.
Ofner snapped a four-match losing streak to break out of the first round in Paris but he will likely be unable to make that two in a row.
Olympics Women's Singles: Anna Karolina Schmiedlova vs Jasmine Paolini
Jasmine Paolini is chasing a seventh win in nine matches against Anna Karolina Schmiedlova when they renew their rivalry in Paris.
Schmiedlova has just the two wins over Paolini but one of those came in their last head-to-head class.
Paolini is having the better season but needs to guard against complacency if she wants to win another big title.
Paolini should have the blueprint for victory when she faces Schmiedlova on Tuesday.
Olympics Women's Singles: Maria Sakkari vs Marta Kostyuk
Maria Sakkari and Marta Kostyuk will go up against each other in the third round of the Olympics for their fourth career meeting.
Sakkari leads the rivalry by a slender margin having won two of the past three matches between the players.
However, the last time that they played, Kostyuk won 0-6 7-5 6-2 in the first round at the Wimbledon back in 2023.
Sakkari should take a lot of lessons from throwing away a lead in that match.
Olympics Women's Singles: Elina Svitolina vs Barbora Krejcikova
Elina Svitolina is out to cause another upset when she takes on Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova.
Krejcikova has won the only previous meeting between the WTA Tour stars.
Krejcikova won 6-3 6-2 in the third round at the French Open back in 2021.
Svitolina has put in some impressive displays this term but will have a hard time besting a two-time Grand Slam winner.
Olympics Women's Singles: Iga Swiatek vs Xiyu Wang
Iga Swiatek is out to continue her dominance at Roland Garros with another win.
These players met on clay at Madrid earlier this season with Swiatek earning a comfortable win.
That has been the only meeting between these two players despite being the same age.
Both players have started well but Swiatek's Roland Garros dominance has generated an imposing aura for the Pole.
