AC Milan vs Fiorentina tips and predictions: La Viola to break 17-year-old record at the San Siro

The Rossoneri have suffered two consecutive defeats at San Siro. It’s been 17 years since they lost three consecutive games at home so they should be motivated.

The absence of Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud makes matters worse and has contributed to their recent poor form which leaves them eight points behind the league leaders.

Their opponents, Fiorentina, were also not in the best form before the international break, winning only one of their last four games.

But they did at least return to winning ways prior to the break, beating Bologna 2-1 at home on the back of three consecutive defeats.

Vincenzo Italiano’s side have collected 20 points thus far and could leapfrog AC Milan in the standings should they win at San Siro.

Despite appearing to be in poor form, La Viola have lost just one of six on their travels to a 90th-minute Ciro Immobile penalty.

Milan’s growing list of absentees should give them the confidence they’ll be able to compete and pinch at least a point, especially with the absence of the home side's biggest goal threat.
