Roma vs Cagliari tips and predictions: Giallorossi on a roll under Daniele De Rossi

Roma coach Daniele De Rossi

Roma and Cagliari will bring another weekend of Serie A action to an end when they meet at Stadio Olimpico on Monday night.

Roma are clear favourites to beat Cagliari on Monday. After Jose Mourinho's departure, the Giallorossi are on a roll, having won their last two games.

This will be the third game team under new manager Daniele De Rossi. His tenure at Roma began promisingly, with two convincing victories against Verona and Salernitana.

The former midfield maestro has taken advantage of an easy run of fixtures, a run that will continue with the Cagliari game. Before Jose Mourinho’s sacking, Roma were winless in three games.

Lorenzo Pellegrini has rediscovered his form under the new manager, scoring two goals in his previous two matches.

Roma are now fifth in the league table, one point behind Atalanta, the team occupying the final Champions League spot.

Cagliari are currently in the relegation zone and remain winless away from home in Serie A.

Claudio Ranieri will have a difficult time keeping them up as his team have managed just four wins and six draws so far. In their away games, Cagliari managed to secure merely three points.

In recent encounters, Roma dominated Cagliari, winning four of five matches. Cagliari’s last win came in 2021 and we saw no reason why this meeting won’t go to form. With the hosts finding the net at least twice.
