PSG vs Rennes tips and predictions: Both teams to score in French Cup clash

PSG are aiming to win the French Cup for the first time in three years but they’ll need to find a way past Rennes in Wednesday’s semi-final.
PSG are heavy favourites to progress but they’ve struggled against Rennes over the years, drawing 1-1 this season and losing two meetings last season.
PSG's 2-0 win against Marseille in their last match should provide a massive morale boost after playing with 10 men for 50 minutes.
The win at Velodrome strengthened their lead in Ligue 1 as they sit on 62 points, which is 12 points more than second-place Brest.
The hosts are unbeaten since losing 2-1 to AC Milan in the Champions League in November and their attack has been in fine form since.
As well as scoring 15 goals in their last five matches, the team from Paris produced 9-0, 3-1 and 3-1 wins to reach this stage of the competition.
Rennes suffered a defeat last weekend, 2-0 against Strasbourg, and are 8th in the Ligue 1 table with 39 points.
Julien Stephan’s team have avoided defeat in six of their last eight matches and they’ve played well on their travels this season.
In the previous rounds, Rennes beat Guingamp 2-0, squeezed past Marseille on penalties, beat Sochaux 6-1 and Le-Pu-en-Velay 3-1.
They’ve avoided defeat in nine of their 13 away matches and like PSG, they’ve been in good goalscoring form, but they struggle to keep teams out.
