Nottingham Forest vs Luton Town tips and predictions: City Ground fortress to deliver for the hosts

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper

Planet Sport Bet ambassador Robbie Savage is impressed with Nottingham Forest’s home Premier League record and is backing the side to bag another City Ground success.

I think Nottingham’s home form in the Premier League is remarkable. I think against Luton, they’ll win the game and I think they’ll win the game to nil.

I’m going 2-0 to Nottingham Forest.

Robbie’s Tip: Nottingham Forest 2-0 Luton Town

Steve Cooper is also facing doubts over Ola Aina, Serge Aurier, Gonzalo Montiel and Nuno Tavares.

Luton, on the other hand, will have to cope without the aid of Mads Andersen, Amari Bell, Jordan Clark, Sambi Lokonga, Gabriel Osho and Dan Potts.

If you judge Nottingham Forest based solely on their home form since returning to the Premier League, you’d be forgiven for thinking they’re fighting for Europe.

Only two clubs have beaten Forest at the City Ground in the Premier League over the last 18 games – those being Manchester United and Newcastle.

Nottingham have enjoyed a steady start to the season and they are big favourites ahead of their home clash with Luton.

The Hatters have only won one Premier League game so far this season, though Rob Edwards and his men will take encouragement from the fact that success came away from home.

Goals have been a problem for Luton since stepping up to the Premier League. The newly-promoted side have only scored six times in the competition – only Sheffield United have found the back of the net on fewer ocassions.

From a betting perspective, Forest are the ones to back. Home advantage is huge when it comes to Cooper’s men and Luton’s recent form doesn’t offer much confidence.

The hosts to win to nil is one option. Backing the 2-0 scoreline in the correct score market is another.

Nottingham Forest to win to nil

Nottingham Forest -1 handicap

Correct score – Nottingham Forest to win 2-0
