Toronto FC vs DC United verdict

DC United are still a major work in progress under Wayne Rooney. However, the additions of Mateusz Klich and Lewis O'Brien have worked out well and Christian Benteke is getting better service.
Toronto FC are struggling with injuries right now. They have a raft of experienced players unavailable and this has impacted their performances.
They're far from a good side anyway, but they did start the season with two wins, six draws and two losses. Since then, they've lost four of five, drawing the other, and have scored just once.
DC United's defence has always been a problem but they're learning to fix that under Rooney. They've kept six clean sheets in all competitions, including a 1-0 win away to Montreal.
They have also kept three in five on the road against strong sides in Chicago, Philadelphia and of course Montreal, so they have the blueprint to frustrate a TFC side lacking ideas at present.
Our xG has this down as a potentially low-scoring game with nothing to split the sides. Given the state of things in Toronto and the feel-good factor about DC, we suspect the visitors are a better bet.
Toronto being favourites to win doesn't feel justified against anyone at this present moment, so we're going to snap up the value of DC United, who are priced at over 2/1.
