We’ve compiled a goals-based acca for Wednesday’s MLS fixture list which is currently available at odds of 19/1.
MLS midweek acca
Inter Miami vs Toronto: Over 2.5 goals
LA Galaxy vs Colorado: Over 3.5 goals
San Jose vs Houston: Over 2.5 goals
Vancouver vs Sporting: Over 2.5 goals
Los Angeles vs RSL: Over 3.5 goals
Inter Miami vs Toronto FC (0030 BST, Thurs)
No Messi, no problem as Inter Miami produced four wins on the spin during the Copa America, but they did suffer a 6-1 hammering at the hands of Cincinnati last time out.
Both teams have scored in each of their last eight matches so it wouldn’t be a shock to see Toronto score. There has been over 2.5 goals in eight of the Canadian side’s last 10 away matches.
LA Galaxy vs Colorado Rapids (0330 BST, Thurs)
LA Galaxy are shaping up to be a major part of the six-horse race for the MLS Supporters Shield. Their opponents this weekend, Colorado, are the surprise package of this season, and trail LA by five points.
Galaxy home games have averaged 3.73 goals while Rapids matches have produced 3.58 goals on average. These attack-minded sides are full of goals but struggle to keep clean sheets.
San Jose Earthquakes vs Houston Dynamo (0330 BST, Thurs)
Nothing guarantees a lack of goals like a Houston home game, so luckily, they’ll take to the road when they San Jose this week. Anyone can score against the leaky Earthquakes, who have shipped 30 goals in eight matches.
The Dynamo will have no problem exploiting their weaknesses, but they too struggle to prevent teams from scoring. Both teams have scored in their last five away matches.
Vancouver Whitecaps vs Sporting Kansas City (0330 BST, Thurs)
Vancouver are always entertaining to watch at BC Place. They’ve averaged two goals per game and 1.66 goals against over their last eight matches.
Sporting are one of the few sides whose home matches average more goals, which they haven’t matched on the road. However, they do concede in bunches, allowing three or more in four of seven matches, all of which featured three or more goals.
Los Angeles FC vs Real Salt Lake (0345 BST, Thurs)
Last but not least, Los Angeles FC take on Real Salt Lake in a game-of-the-week contender. The sides are level on 43 points in the title race and both have been full of goals, recently. In their last four matches, LAFC beat San Jose 6-2 and lost 5-1 to Columbus.
There have been 10 instances of a team scoring three or more goals in RSL’s last 10 matches. In their last five, they’ve produced 5-2, 4-3 and 3-2 wins.
