Midweek English acca

Chelsea to beat Middlesbrough

Liverpool to beat Fulham (Weds)

Derby vs Bradford: Over 2.5 goals

Blackpool to beat Burton

Peterborough to beat Crawley (Weds)

Middlesbrough vs Chelsea (Tues 2000 GMT)

Middlesbrough did well to keep Aston Villa at bay until the 87th minute in their FA Cup clash on Saturday, but Chelsea may field a closer to full-strength XI.

Michael Carrick’s side has reached this stage of the competition by beating five teams placed below them in the Football League and their luck should run out here.

Derby County vs Bradford City (Tues 1900 GMT)

Derby have already lost to League Two opposition in Crewe this season so there’s no guarantee they’ll progress against a Bradford side who are handy on their travels.

The most notable trend is there have been over 2.5 goals in eight of Derby’s last nine at home and eight of Bradford’s previous 11 away games.

Blackpool vs Burton Albion (Wed 1900 GMT)

If you look at the League One form table, Burton have picked up more points than Blackpool through five matches, but the Tangerines are flying at home.

Neil Critchley’s side have won their last five in all competitions at Bloomfield Road while Burton are winless in nine of 10, losing six.

Liverpool vs Fulham (Wed 2000 GMT)

Liverpool will be full of confidence after beating Arsenal 2-0 at the weekend and while this won’t be a walkover, they can ill afford a slip-up in the home leg.

Craven Cottage has been an extremely tough place to visit recently so if Marco Silva’s side can keep it close, they’ll have a chance. We don’t expect to see real adventure from the visitors.

Peterborough United vs Crawley Town (Wed 1930 GMT)

Peterborough gave a reasonable account of themselves against Leeds and will be keen to bounce back. Posh have won all three of their home EFL Trophy ties this term.

On the other hand, Crawley lost eight of nine on their travels in the trophy and were extremely fortunate to beat League One Bristol Rovers last time.
