FA Cup and EFL acca
Ipswich vs Maidstone: Over 3.5 goals (12.30 pm)
Leeds vs Plymouth: Over 2.5 goals
Blackpool vs Charlton: Over 2.5 goals
Port Vale vs Portsmouth: Over 2.5 goals
Barnsley vs Exeter: Over 2.5 goals
Grimsby vs Tranmere: Over 2.5 goals
Fulham vs Newcastle: Over 2.5 goals (5.30 pm)
Ipswich Town vs Maidstone United
We can’t rule out the visitors pinching a goal to remember but even if they don’t, they’ve been conceding 2.75 goals per game on their travels and Ipswich is a massive goal threat. McKenna’s side have scored three or more in eight of 14 at home.
Leeds United vs Plymouth Argyle
When Leeds beat Plymouth 2-1 in the Championship earlier in the season, the Whites led 2-0 inside half an hour and had chances to add to their lead, but Plymouth’s xG of 1.43 remains the highest of any visitor to Elland Road this season.
Blackpool vs Charlton Athletic
Charlton are winless in 12 and so they have decided to sack Michael Appleton. They may offer a response here, but it might be hard considering they’ve shipped 14 goals in six matches. On the other hand, Blackpool have scored two or more in their last eight at home.
Port Vale vs Portsmouth
We’ve mentioned in previous weeks that it looks like Port Vale are about to embark on another free-scoring run, while also highlighting Portsmouth’s impending return to form. Their last eight matches have averaged 3.42 goals and Portsmouth often score 2+ away.
Barnsley vs Exeter City
Barnsley’s run of nine straight games where both teams scored came to an end midweek. Despite that, they’re still averaging 1.88 goals per game at home since September and Exeter’s leaky defence has been leaking close to 3 goals per away game.
Grimsby Town vs Tranmere Rovers
Grimsby began 2024 with a 6-1 home loss against Walsall and followed that up with a 5-5 draw against Notts County. Blundell Park has witnessed 45 goals in 10 games and there have been over 2.5 goals in seven of 10 Tranmere away games.
Fulham vs Newcastle United
There have been some real crackers at Craven Cottage recently with Fulham’s last five home games averaging four goals. Newcastle’s leaky defence is conceding more than two goals per game since December began. Both teams will be pushing forward for the win.
