Werder Bremen boss Ole Werner 'confident' they can beat Frankfurt
Werder Bremen head coach Ole Werner believes his charges have the ability to beat Frankfurt, despite going into the Bundesliga game as underdogs.
Werner's side come into Sunday's home game on the back of an inconsistent run of results, which saw them win one, lose two, and draw two of their last five outings.
Meanwhile, Frankfurt are on a three-game winning streak following their 1-0 away win against HJK in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.
"You always look at your opposition's every game - that means last night's as well," said Werner.
"They're a team with a lot of talent and speed, and they're very resolute in defence.
"They've done that better and better in the last few weeks, and their results have also improved.
"It's going to be a tight game against tough opposition, and Frankfurt are of course favourites, but we're confident that we can put in a performance good enough to beat them."
