We need to win our last seven games or Liverpool will win the title, says Pep Guardiola
Manchester City remain one point ahead of Liverpool following a 2-2 draw at the Etihad.
Pep Guardiola says Man City must win every game remaining otherwise they can say goodbye to winning the Premier League.
In a pulsating game - between the two standout teams in England - Man City and Liverpool shared the points to keep the title race slightly in favour of the home side.
City took the lead after five minutes thanks to Kevin de Bruyne's deflected strike but Liverpool replied eight minutes later when Diogo Jota scored from Trent Alexander-Arnold's pass.
Gabriel Jesus then put City back in front but Sadio Mane - on his 30th birthday - ensured the Reds avoided defeat away from home.
Man City remain at the top with 74 points while Liverpool sit in second place with 73 points.
Seven games remain and Guardiola - a three-time Premier League winner - believes his team need to collect 21 points from a possible 21.
He told Sky Sports: "Seven games left, we have to win all of them or it will be over. We are going to play for that.
"It was a good advert for the Premier League all around the world. I had a feeling that we let them alive, but Liverpool is a joy to watch.
"I know their threats up front and how difficult they are. We performed really well and I'm so incredibly proud of my team. But we knew before the game win, lose or draw it (title race) was not over."
Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp - who prepares his side to take on Man City again next weekend in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley - said the Reds will not stop 'chasing' their rivals until the end.
Klopp told Sky Sports: "What a game. Wild. Better start for City, but you can describe it a little bit like a boxing fight. Both arms (are) down for a second and you get a massive knock.
"You can shake a little bit and then the next knock is coming from the other team. I liked a lot of things, when we played simple passes we were really dangerous and that's how we scored the goals. It was a great game and the right result. The result we have to live with it, and can live with it."
Liverpool trail City by one point with seven games remaining and Klopp added: "We will not stop chasing. That's clear, but now we have two different competitions before we start the Premier League again - and then see who has the better finish."
