Tottenham close to finalising deals for Juventus duo Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur

Tottenham have agreed a loan deal for Juventus forward Dejan Kulusevski

Monday's deadline is fast approaching, but Spurs are closing in on deals for Juventus forward Dejan Kulusevski and midfielder Rodrigo Bentacur.

Tottenham have agreed a deal to sign 21-year-old Sweden international Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus on an initial loan deal with an option to buy.

Reports suggest Uruguayan midfielder Rodrigo Bentacur could follow closely behind, with former Juventus director Fabio Paratici keen on bringing the duo with him to north London.

Antonio Conte has openly expressed his desire for Tottenham to improve their squad this January, and after missing out on Porto's Luis Diaz and Wolves' Adama Traore in recent weeks, Spurs have turned their attention to Italy.

Kulusevski will travel to north London for a medical on Sunday, with the deal expected to be completed soon after.

The forward has only started in 10 of Juventus' 20 league games this season, but will provide much-needed depth in Tottenham's attacking department.

Kulusevksi has also been known to play out wide, making him a versatile option for Conte to utilise.
The Italian also wanted reinforcements in midfield, a void which could be filled by Bentacur in the coming days.

The athletic midfielder has made 25 appearances for the Old Lady this season, including five in the Champions League.
With Tanguy Ndombele and Dele Alli rumoured to be on their way out of Tottenham this month, Bentacur will be a welcome addition to the heart of midfield.
Whether or not the Juventus duo will appease Conte's desire of incomings is yet to be seen, but with just two days left of the transfer window, Spurs are running out of time to get deals across the line.
Their attempt to lure Luis Diaz to north London failed, with the Porto winger expected to join Liverpool imminently, and their pursuit of Adama Traore ended this week with the Spaniard joining Barcelona on loan.
