Thibaut Courtois returns to give Real Madrid a boost against Cadiz
Real Madrid received good news as coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed the return of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois ahead of their La Liga clash against Cadiz.
Courtois, who suffered an ACL injury prior to the season opener and faced setbacks during his recovery, is set to reclaim his spot between the posts.
"Courtois is fine and he's going to play. It's good news, like [Eder] Militao's return.
"He can contribute, he's very excited and we're all delighted that he'll be able to come back," Ancelotti announced to media ahead of the Saturday's La Liga clash at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
However, Ancelotti remained cautious about revealing the starting goalkeeper for a hypothetical Champions League final, emphasizing their immediate focus on the upcoming semifinal against Bayern Munich during the week.
"The final we have in mind is Wednesday," he remarked, hinting at a rotation that could see Andriy Lunin feature against Bayern.
With their eyes set on the La Liga title, Ancelotti emphasized the importance of securing three points against Cadiz, especially given the opportunity to capitalize on any missteps by rivals FC Barcelona.
"The objective is very clear, to get three points to win the competition. We only have this in our minds, not what will happen next.
"We're playing against a team that is fighting to avoid relegation and will be eager to pick up points," Ancelotti emphasized the team's singular focus on the upcoming match.
