Social Zone: Ronaldo hits new Instagram record, and Aubameyang makes shock claim

Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Danny Murphy isn't impressed by Manchester United while Cristiano Ronaldo now has 400 million followers on Instagram.

Manchester United overcame a spirited performance by Leeds United to win the game 4-2 at Elland Road on Sunday. Of course, the players were delighted to edge out one of their arch-rivals and celebrated at the final whistle.
It was an important victory as it ensured they remained four points above West Ham in fourth spot.
Danny Murphy couldn't help but make a dig about how the mighty had fallen.
Who knew a former Liverpool player would say such comments?

Cristiano Ronaldo has now got 400 million followers on Instagram and thanked his fans for helping him achieve the milestone.

He's vowed to continue sharing everything in his life on the social media platform but we're pretty sure we didn't hear much from him about his recent goal drought...

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang bagged himself a hat-trick for Barcelona on the weekend against Valencia.

Xavi has steadied the ship and they are currently in fourth spot, above Atletico Madrid on goal difference.
Aubameyang left Arsenal following a fallout with Mikel Arteta and while his last 12 months weren't the most impressive, he did win the Golden Boot in 2018/19.
In an interview, he revealed the toughest defender he played against in the Premier League, and it comes as a surprise.

Thomas Tuchel has said it is not the time to 'laugh' about the recent performance by Romelu Lukaku in their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace. The forward, who signed this summer for £97.5m, had the fewest touches in Premier League history, touching the ball just seven times.

Tuchel has said they will 'protect him, because he is our player' ahead of their Champions League clash against Lille at Stamford Bridge.
The Belgian has just five goals in 17 Premier League appearances but is yet to score in 2022.

While it's too soon to call him a flop, it's safe to say there has been a fair few strikers that haven't delivered at the Blues following big money moves.

One of them is fellow forward Timo Werner while others include Andriy Shevchenko and Fernando Torres. The pressure of being a star striker at Chelsea seems to be a big one.
