Sergio Busquets will join Inter Miami, double signing teased by MLS club

Inter Miami are preparing to announce the signing of Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets, according to reports.

Inter Miami's billionaire co-owner Jorge Mas has teased a double signing on Twitter, with reports claiming Sergio Busquets is ready to confirm a move to Inter Miami.
The eyes of the world were on Miami earlier this month when the MLS club confirmed the capture of Lionel Messi.

Rumours immediately surfaced that the World Cup winner would be joined by Busquets and one other star.

Planet Sport reported early in June that Jordi Alba and Angel Di Maria are among the names being linked.
Messi, Busquets and Alba featured together at Barcelona, while international teammate Di Maria labelled it a dream come true when the pair featured together at club level.
Although the move is receiving minimal attention in major outlets, sources in Miami and Barcelona have all but confirmed the deal is set to happen in the past 24 hours.
The 35-year-old is expected to join as a designated player with each MLS side having three DP slots to utilise.
DP's are exempt from the salary cap, which is the league's financial fair play rules, meaning the Spaniard will be on a sizeable wage.
Mas posted a photo of three blank Miami shirts on Twitter, one of which will be allocated to Lionel Messi.
