Report: AC Milan offer â¬50m for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko
AC Milan have reportedly made a substantial offer of â¬50million to secure the services of RB Leipzig's striker, Benjamin Sesko, who is also being pursued by Arsenal.
The Italian club have singled out Sesko, considering him as their top choice to fill the void left by Olivier Giroud, who is set to join LAFC as a free agent from July 1, as per numerous reports in recent weeks.
Signs of progress became apparent when Sesko's agency, Pro Transfer, shared a video on their Instagram Stories featuring a visit to Milan's iconic Galleria, hinting at ongoing negotiations.
Sources suggest that Milan's talks with the player's agents were fruitful, possibly leading to their presence in the stands during the upcoming match against Cagliari at San Siro.
The reported offer of €50million to RB Leipzig, revealed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, aligns with Sesko's original release clause, yet his impressive performances have since led to an increase in the clause, potentially reaching €65million and even as high as €73million by the season's end.
Milan's strategy appears focused on winning over Sesko and his representatives, forging an alliance to ensure his move to the Rossoneri over a potentially more lucrative deal from Arsenal.
Sesko boasts an impressive record with 11 goals in 27 senior caps for Slovenia, while scoring 16 goals in 40 appearances for Leipzig.
