  • Real Madrid'S Young Signing Arda Guler Nears Debut After Injury Setback

Real Madrid's young signing Arda Guler nears debut after injury setback

The 18-year-old Turkish sensation Arda Guler is reportedly poised to make his long-awaited debut for Real Madrid.

The young talent, who endured a challenging first half of the La Liga season due to consecutive injuries, is set to take the field under the strategic guidance of coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Following his high-profile move from Fenerbahce to Real Madrid last summer for a hefty sum of €20million, Guler faced a series of setbacks, preventing him from showcasing his skills for his new club. However, the tide seems to be turning in 2024 as Real Madrid place significant faith in their young prodigy.

According to Spanish sports daily "Marca," the coaching staff at Real Madrid express confidence in Guler's progress, noting his active participation in recent team training sessions. Despite the ongoing treatment process and the need for additional personalized training alongside teammates Dani Carvajal, Rodrygo, and Vinícius Júnior, Guler's current fitness level appears promising for an imminent debut.

Barring any unforeseen setbacks, Arda Guler is set to kick off 2024 on a positive note. Coach Ancelotti reportedly plans to grant the midfield gem his first minutes in the home game against RCD Mallorca on January 3. While the initial appearance may be brief, expectations rise for Guler to enjoy more substantial playing time in the cup match against Spanish fourth-tier side Arandina on January 6.

Should Guler leave a favourable impression in both fixtures and maintain his strong performances in training, a gradual integration into the first team seems likely.

The coaching staff emphasize a patient approach, steering clear of unnecessary pressure on the newcomer. The primary focus is on Guler's complete recovery to prime fitness and his acclimatization to the Spanish football scene, with any potential loan discussions currently off the table.
