Nottingham Forest's new goalkeeper Carlos Miguel

Nottingham Forest have signed goalkeeper Carlos Miguel from Corinthians on a four-year deal.

The 25-year-old joins Forest – pending a work permit – in a deal running until the summer of 2028.

Miguel, who is 6ft 8ins, kept 14 clean sheets in 25 appearances for Corinthians after claiming the number one jersey following his arrival at the Brazilian club from Flamengo in 2021.

He told the club’s website: “I’m really happy and honoured to represent this club.

“Just seeing the stadium and feeling the energy within it, I can’t wait to be on the pitch to help Nottingham Forest win.

“My main objective is to become an important member of this team, a giant club in the history of football. I want a place in the museum like the others.”

Miguel becomes Nuno Espirito Santo’s fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Eric da Silva Moreira, Marko Stamenic and Elliot Anderson.
