Newcastle v Brighton: FA Cup predictions, tips and best bets as Seagulls target rare Magpie double

Winning away in Newcastle is no mean feat. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City have all tried and failed to topple the Magpies from their own nest.

Brighton, on the other hand, will be looking to do just that for the second time this season – a pretty impressive achievement, if they can pull it off.

You certainly wouldn’t bet against the Seagulls at this moment in time. Not after the month they’ve just had.
After kicking off February with a 7-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest, Brighton went on a four-match winning run and capped that off by announcing a record-breaking £73m profit for last season.

The club are currently riding a huge crest of momentum and making the FA Cup quarter-finals is certainly within their reach.

Brighton to win

Four wins, 11 goals scored, two conceded, back-to-back wins over Chelsea – Brighton really can’t put a foot wrong at the moment.

While the Seagulls are flying high, the Magpies are experiencing a tad bit of turbulence after tackling a scary looking fixture list in recent weeks.

In February alone, Eddie Howe’s men took on the likes of Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool – games that will inevitably take a lot out of you.

Brighton will offer another tough challenge considering they are unbeaten in three previous meetings, winning two of them.

That last win came in October Danny Welbeck’s first-half goal sealed a big away win for the Seagulls. With the visitors handsomely priced, we’re backing a repeat in the outright market.

This is a bet which has landed in three of the previous four meetings between Newcastle and Brighton.
