The future of Ilkay Gundogan has seemingly been sealed as his agent claims that no agreement has yet been made with Barcelona.

Ilkay Gundogan has played a starring role over the course of Pep Guardiola's time at the Ethiad.

Although the midfielder was initially bought as a rotation player, he is now one of the first names on the Cityzens' teamsheet.
The 32-year-old has been hailed by his manager as "an incredible football player, always grounded."
However, rumours have began circling that the German midfielder is on his way out this summer to no other than Barcelona.
Barca currently reside at the top of the Spanish league and look to be on course to title number 27.

However, Gundogan's agent has came out and said that there is currently "no agreement" between the midfielder and the Spanish giants.

His agent also stated that he was "surprised at where the stories come from about a deal closed for many weeks," and that it is "not yet decided where he will play in the next few years."
Despite this, his agent claims that the midfielder is only focused on City and the three remaining trophies that are avaliable to the squad this season.
Gundogan was the first signing of Guardiola's stint at City and goes against most of the other transfers he has made during his time at the club.
This is because he is often seen as a 'chequebook manager' due to the amount of money he spends each transfer window.
If a deal was agreed, this would likely open the door for Barcelona wonderkid, Gavi, to move away from his boyhood club and join a team such as Chelsea.
This is the last thing the Blaugrana want as Gavi has been a major player for their squad this season.

A contract was agreed with the 18-year-old although, a court blocked the deal due to Barcelona's recent financial woes.

A move to Chelsea may be the thign Gavi needs as he won't be under as much pressure to perform due to the sheer quality within the squad.
