Luka Modric confident Real Madrid can manage without Manchester United's Casemiro
Real Madrid playmaker Luka Modric believes the Spanish giants will be able to handle losing Casemiro to Manchester United, saying they are 'well equipped' in the midfield department.
Casemiro signed for the Red Devils last month and made his Premier League debut at Southampton, in a 1-0 victory.
United went on to win their next two league games, with the Brazilian coming off the bench on both occasions.
Modric admitted that Casemiro was an important player for Los Merengues - but he is also confident they have enough depth in midfield to deal with the loss.
"We've started really well this year and we have a strong team," Modric told the club's website.
"In midfield, we lost an important player in Casemiro, but we've got a lot of other good players to replace him and do a good job. Tchouameni has adapted really well.
"This is Camavinga's second year and he had a great first year. Kroos has been here for a long time. [Federico] Valverde is also doing really well in any position. [Dani] Ceballos is helping the team a lot. We're well equipped in this position."
