This fixture has taken place on four occasions and each time, we’ve seen the ‘both teams to score’ bet land.

Liverpool found the back of the net in their first three matches of the new Premier League season before being shockingly stopped by Nottingham Forest in a 1-0 defeat.

AC Milan, on the other hand, have seen the bet land in all four of their Serie A matches this season.

Paulo Fonseca’s side head into this game on the back of a 4-0 thrashing of Venezia.

That was Milan’s first league victory despite having scored nine goals across their first four matches.

Liverpool also know how to find the back of the net, having rattled the net seven times in their first three matches. We’ll look past their blank against Nottingham Forest for now.

 

Most goals in second half

The majority of goals scored this season in games involving Liverpool and AC Milan have arrived after the interval. The big exception is the Venezia game which saw Milan score all four goals in the first half.

Nevertheless, we expect both teams to be defensively solid in the early stages of this encounter as they look to keep things tight.
