Leicester v Arsenal: Predictions, tips and bet builder as Gunners keep heat on leaders Liverpool

Leandro Trossard of Arsenal

Arsenal can close Liverpool down to just four points if they can get the better of Leicester City this Saturday afternoon (1230 GMT).

The Gunners are staring down the barrel of a trophyless season after being knocked out of the FA Cup and Carabao Cup over the last month.

The only positive for the Gunners is the fact they can now set their full attention on the big one – the Premier League.

Following Liverpool’s draw at Everton, the Gunners can close the gap at the top of the table to just four points.

With the Reds still spinning all their plates, there is a real possibility they could begin to slip up as pressure begins to ramp up. However, if Arsenal are to capitalise, they simply can’t afford to drop points against such teams as Leicester.

Here, we take a closer look at Saturday’s encounter and pick out some of the best bets along the way.

Good luck and please gamble responsibly.

Leicester v Arsenal best bets

Arsenal to win to nil – 11/10

Leandro Trossard to score or assist – 10/11

Mads Hermansen to make 3+ saves – 2/9

Leicester City to have most bookings – 10/11

Arsenal to win to nil

Arsenal come into this game on the back of a hugely disappointing Carabao Cup semi-final defeat to Newcastle. However, if you put that result to one side, the Gunners are actually in half-decent form.

Mikel Arteta’s men won four straight games before that slip-up at St James’ Park. One of those wins was a 5-1 demolition of Manchester City.

While you can question the Gunners in other competitions, their Premier League campaign has been strong.

When it comes to taking on Leicester, you can bet your bottom dollar that Arsenal will be licking their lips.

With six straight wins over the Foxes – three of them to nil – the Gunners certainly look enticing in the betting.

What’s more, Leicester have lost eight of their last nine in the Premier League – six of those to nil.

Leandro Trossard to score or assist

Leandro Trossard had a game to forget against Newcastle in the cup, but apart from that one blip, the Belgian has enjoyed a good start to the new year.

The 30-year-old has produced four assists and scored one goal in his last seven appearances for the Gunners.

With the forward in good form, we’re backing his goal contribution trend to continue.

Mads Hermansen to make 3+ saves

Leicester may have the home advantage but make no bones about it, they will be doing most of the defending.

With that in mind, backing the Leicester goalkeeper to make three plus saves on Saturday is an easy addition to our bet builder.

Leicester City to have most bookings

Another solid contender for the acca is Leicester to have the most bookings.

Statistically speaking, the team that does most of the defending tends to pick up the majority of the bookings.

When the Foxes last took on a team from the capital – Tottenham – their discipline suffered with a total of five yellow cards. That was only a couple of weeks ago.
