Leeds United ready to attack the transfer window with 10 new signings
Leeds United manager Daniel Farke will be “backed sufficiently” in the transfer window with up to 10 new signings.
Leeds United are ready to be "aggressive" in this transfer window in order to secure an immediate return to the Premier League.
Whites new boss Daniel Farke is going to have substantial transfer funds and wage bill at his disposal to mount a promotion push.
Speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Graham Smyth said: "Farke is expected to be backed sufficiently this summer in the transfer window and given an 'aggressive' wage bill to help facilitate the promotion bid."
Robin Koch, Diego Llorente, Marc Roca, Weston McKennie, Brendan Aaronson, Rodrigo Moreno and Junior Firpo and Jack Harrison won't be present come August.
There are also question marks over the likes of Ilan Meslier, Tyler Adams, Wilfried Gnonto, Crysencio Summerville and Luis Sinisterra.
That could mean at least 13 players departing Elland Road this month with all of those first-team regulars.
However, it's not all doom and gloom, with Daniel James, Charlie Cresswell and Joe Gelhardt returning from loan spells.
Despite that, Farke will need to sign at least 10 players before gelling them into his system. He has four weeks to do it.
Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow and Liverpool defender Nat Phillips are the first two confirmed targets.
Reports are circulating that Leeds maintains their long-standing interest in ex-Swansea City left-back Ryan Manning.
The latest reports have linked the club with a move for Mitrovic-like battering ram Djordje Jovanovic.
