Kostic so desperate not to join West Ham he'd rather take a 'smaller' wage packet at Juventus
West Ham target Filip Kostic has spent most of the summer trying to avoid the East London club's admiring glances, and now is set to move to Juventus for less cash.
West Ham eventually got the message and instead lured Burnley's left-sided midfielder/wing-back Maxwel Cornet down south this Friday, seemingly putting an end to their interest in Kostic.
Juventus have now stepped in to start whispering sweet nothings to the Eintracht Frankfurt star, which he'll be happy about as he was prepared to run down his contract in Germany to await a move to a big Champions League club. Now he appears to have got his wish a year early.
But the twist is the Italian media are now suggesting Juventus will pay Kostic just £58k-a-week, which is reportedly less than half of what West Ham had slapped down on the table.
German media outlets had reported West Ham were offering wages of around £120K-a-week for Kostic.
The Old Lady and the Allianz Stadium vs the Cockney Boys and the London Stadium. Putting the money aside it won't have been the toughest call for Kostic.
Although Westfield in Stratford must be better than the shopping centre near the ground in Turin...probably.
