Jon Dahl Tomasson praises Blackburn's reslience after they grabbed a draw against West Brom
Blackburn manager Jon Dahl Tomasson was delighted by his side’s ability to bounce back in the face of West Brom's stern home record after going behind late on.
He was proud of the determination they showed in responding to fallen behind with a little over 15 minutes of normal time remaining when Jayson Molumby’ struck, with Ben Brereton-Diaz going on to equalise near the death.
It was the second impressive point on the road in a matter of days for Rovers, after their 1-1 draw at the home of another play-off rival Watford on Saturday.
"After the circumstances and being behind, in the 89th minute of course it is brilliant to score," Tomasson said.
"We all knew West Brom's home record has been excellent in the last period, it was a tough task for my players. I asked them to be brave and I thought they were extremely brave on the ball.
"I think we defended extremely well and we could also have won it! It was a big, big effort for the boys. Great to see that they were believing that they could come back. It was great."
