Harry Kane reflects on Bayern Munich triumph in gruelling Champions League clash
In a thrilling showdown against Galatasaray, Harry Kane proved to be the game-changer for Bayern Munich, securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory on Wednesday night.
The England international, with two late goals, propelled the Bavarians into the Champions League round of 16.
Reflecting on the intense encounter, Kane shared his thoughts with UEFA.com, acknowledging the challenging nature of the match.
"It was a tough game. We expected another tough game. The away leg was very similar. I thought we controlled the game better this time. Especially in the first half, we got into the final third in transition; we just lacked the final pass or final finish. We knew in the second half we just had to keep that momentum."
Kane's remarkable performance tonight elevated his goal tally to an impressive 19 in just 15 games since making the switch from Tottenham to Munich in the summer.
The striker emphasized the complexities of a transfer, both on and off the field, stating, "There's always a lot that goes into the transfer, on and off the field. So, of course, there's always a bit more pressure and expectation, but I've been delighted with the start [to life in Munich] obviously. It's down to the team too.
"The team is playing really well, and I've got amazing players around me to set me up and give me chances."
