Girona's Aleix Garcia linked to Barcelona and Atletico Madrid - report

Girona FC midfielder Aleix Garcia has been strongly-linked with a move to Barcelona but now Atletico Madrid have reportedly also joined the fray in trying to sign the player.
According to Spanish publication AS, the 25-year-old midfielder could be part of a Bosman move by Atletico during the 2023 summer transfer window, but Garcia is also on Barcelona's radar.
Garcia joined Girona in July 2021 from SD Eibar and has become a star-player for his side, plus he is regarded as one of the most dependable performers in La Liga so far this season.
The midfielder has played in every game for Girona this season and chipped in with three assists in 15 appearances. Garcia is in the last few months of hi contract with the Blanquivermells and they may battle to keep their star-player with both Barcelona and Atletico looming to make a swoop for his signature.
The other option for Garcia is to become a free agent in 2023, which will make him more appealing to both Barcelona and Atletico who will have to fight it out to sign the midfielder.
