Fulham's Joao Palhinha vents frustration over protracted transfer saga with Bayern Munich

Joao Palhinha has expressed his impatience over the protracted transfer saga involving his prospective move from Fulham to Bayern Munich by stating "both clubs know where I want to be".

Bayern Munich have set their sights on Joao Palhinha as their primary target to bolster the midfield. The Bavarian giants view Palhinha as the perfect fit for the number six role in their starting lineup. Bayern made an attempt to sign the Portuguese midfielder before last season on the transfer window's deadline day.

Die Roten have been in talks with Fulham regarding Palhinha over the past three weeks. They rekindled their interest in Palhinha after reaching an agreement with new Bayern manager Vincent Kompany about the necessity of acquiring a defensive midfielder.

Fulham have turned down two offers from Bayern for Palhinha this summer. The Premier League side is seeking a fee closer to €65 million for the Portuguese player. Bayern had agreed to this amount last transfer window on deadline day but are reluctant to pay the same this year.

The record Bundesliga champions are set to make a final offer of €46 million for Palhinha. The Portuguese midfielder has already agreed to personal terms with Die Roten, according to Sky Sports Germany, and Palhinha has urged Fulham to allow him to leave, while urging the Munich outfit to push the deal through as soon as possible.

"As far as my future is concerned, both clubs know where I want to be in a month. I am currently concentrating on my work with the national team and on making history for my country," said Palhinha.

Bayern hold significant leverage in negotiations due to the Portuguese midfielder‘s desire to complete the transfer and insist their final bid is a fair valuation of the player.
