SOCCER: Amid all the international deals, it would have been easy to miss Vancouver Whitecaps signing forward David Egbo to their roster. The forward, who was their first pick in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft, signed off his time at the University of Akron with an emotional post.
SOCCER: One player who is not going anywhere is Aaron Long. However, it appears Schalke 04 were interested in bringing him in to join fellow American Matthew Hoppe.

In the final deal, the Rockies will send $51 million to the Cardinals to pay down Arenado’s salary, per source. The majority of that will be due after Arenado’s two opt-out clauses have passed -- assuming he hasn’t opted out of his contract.
