Fabio Carvalho to join Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig on a season-long loan from Liverpool
Liverpool starlet Fabio Carvalho is heading to RB Leipzig on a season-long loan, according to reports.
Bundesliga club RB Leipzig are finalising a deal to take Fabio Carvalho on a season-long loan from Premier League side Liverpool, according to reports.
The talented 20-year-old from Portugal made 13 appearances for the Reds last season but remains unlikely to be a regular starter.
The sensational youngster made his Premier League debut at the age of 18 and had 18 goal involvements in 36 Championship appearances for Fulham.
Reports suggest that RB Leipzig were willing to cough up the cash to sign Carvalho on a permanent deal, but Jurgen Klopp was not agreeable.
Earlier this season, Klopp praised his "exceptional" attitude and labelled him "super-super talented" as he praised his commitment and patience.
The young forward is rated very highly at Anfield and is expected to break through in the next 48 months.
Negotiations are currently in their final stages and Carvalho is expected to join RB Leipzig loan until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Crucially, there is no option to buy included in the deal, so he will return to Anfield next summer.
