Dele Alli's downward spiral sees him complete loan switch to Besiktas
Everton midfielder Dele Alli has joined Turkish side Besiktas on a season-long loan.
The 26-year-old former Tottenham playmaker, who only joined the Toffees in January, had travelled to Istanbul to finalise the move on Wednesday.
Alli will hope the move can reignite his career after failing to make an impact at Goodison Park under Frank Lampard.
A short statement from Everton read: "Dele has completed his loan move to Turkish side Besiktas for the remainder of the 2022/23 season."
Alli, who has 37 England caps, has made 13 appearances for the Toffees, including two as a substitute this season, since his move to Merseyside.
Alli's career quickly tailed off at Tottenham and he made his way to Everton to rediscover the form that saw him an England regular.
However, he now finds himself at Besiktas in the prime years of his career instead and will be hoping he will be able to win over their fans, who mobbed him when he arrived in Turkey.
