Champions League qualifiers: How much will clubs earn for progressing to the third round?

Qualifying action in the Champions League continues this week with clubs vying for a major cash injection.
The vast majority of clubs participating in Champions League qualifiers will come nowhere near the coveted group stage.
Nevertheless, for many of the clubs involved, going on a good run during the qualifying stage could provide financial security for the season ahead.
While the sums discussed in this article would be largely scoffed at by the footballing elite, this money could go a long way in filling the coffers at many of the clubs involved.
Participation in the first Champions League qualifying round was worth €280k alone. The clubs who progressed bagged another €100k.
Victory in the second round would add another €100k to the pot, but more importantly, clubs who make it this far have a guaranteed spot in the Europa Conference League group stage.
Bearing that in mind, the financial rewards of progressing past the second round go way beyond the initial prize.
Participation in the Europa Conference League group stage is worth €2.94m alone. On top of that, each win in the competition secures another €500k, while a draw is worth €166k.
But what about the clubs who go even further in the Champions League qualifiers and reach the play-off round?
At this stage, losers are transferred to the Europa League group stage where the prize for participation alone is €3.63m. Every win in that competition is worth €630k while a draw would bring in €210k.
The numbers significantly increase for clubs who win the play-off round and secure a Champions League group stage spot.
Qualification for the biggest club competition in the world is worth €15.64m - a yearly budget for some of the clubs currently involved in the second qualifying round.
Every win in the Champions League group stage is worth €2.8m, while sharing a point would bag each club €900k.
