Burnley will be looking to strengthen their automatic promotion hopes when they welcome Norwich City to Turf Moor this Friday night (2000 GMT).

The fight for Premier League football is set to go the distance as Leeds, Burnley and Shefield United battle it out for the two automatic promotion spots.

The three clubs are currently separated by just two points, meaning the slightest slip up could be the difference between celebrating promotion and getting ready for the play-offs.

Speaking of slip-ups, Burnley come into this game on the back of a goalless draw with Derby County… the same Derby County that are 21st in the table and are battling for survival.

Leeds took full advantage of Burnley’s rare hiccup by beating Middlesbrough away from home and leapfrogging the Clarets into pole position.

Luckily for Scott Parker and his men, Sheffield United also dropped points when losing 1-0 at home to Millwall – their second successive defeat.

All eyes turn to Burnley on Friday night as the Clarets take on an out-of-form Norwich side. Here, we take a closer look at the fixture and pick out some of the best bets along the way.

Good luck, and please gamble responsibly.

    Burnley to win to nil

Arguably one of the best stats this season is the fact Burnley have only conceded 12 goals. That’s not bad going considering they have already played 41 Championship matches.

That solid defensive record has continued in recent weeks with Parker’s men conceding once in their last four outings.

Norwich, on the other hand, were considered goal scoring machines for the majority of the season. Unfortunately for the Canaries, their poor defensive record tends to cancel out all their efforts up front.

Johannes Hoff Thorup’s men went off the script last Tuesday as Norwich played out a goalless draw against Sunderland in a very forgettable match. Few days before, the Canaries were beaten by bottom-of-the-table Plymouth.

With Norwich in poor form and Burnley fighting for Premier League football, we’re backing the hosts to get the job done and bag their 30th clean sheet in the process.

    Under 2.5 goals

Burnley boast an impressive defensive record, but that certainly has an impact on their offensive output.

The Clarets have scored 55 goals this season, which is some way behind league leaders Leeds United who are on 80.

Four of Burnley’s last five games have seen under 2.5 goals scored and we’re backing that trend to continue this Friday night.

    Under 10.5 corners

Burnley games are not only low on goals – they’re also low on corners.

Five of their previous six matches in the Championship saw under 10.5 corners. We’re going with the numbers and sticking with this bet for Friday’s encounter.
