Bundesliga news: Kenan Karaman hopes to impress new Schalke boss Thomas Reis
Schalke striker Kenan Karaman remains optimistic about the team's Bundesliga campaign under new head coach Thomas Reis, despite occupying last place.
The Royal Blues have lost three of their last four Bundesliga games, winning the other 1-0 against Mainz, under the management of Reis.
Karaman prefers to look on the bright side, and sees the World Cup break as a great chance for Schalke to get used to their new boss and start fresh in the new year.
"A winter World Cup has resulted in an unusual season for us all, but we're just taking it as it comes and not thinking too much about it," Karaman told the club's official website.
"Although we're in last place, there is still a lot of positivity in the dressing room and that gives me hope and confidence.
"We're looking forward to the second half of the season."
On Reis, Karaman added: "The coach wants to use this time to get us all fully on board with his style of play.
